"Shelter"

imPACT Trip to Navy Pier

July Church Tithe

July 2008

The Camping Season at RRBC Begins

Four weeks of camping for a variety of ages will kick off at Rock River Bible Camp on July 9 - 11, 2008, with Primary Camp for children going into grades 2 and 3. Camps for elementary, middle school and high school ages will follow. Approximately 10 children and youth will participate from Kimball Avenue. Pray for the staff, children and youth as they enjoy the weeks.

"Shelter"

Students from Kelvyn Park's Center for Social Justice produced a documentary called "Shelter" on the subject of affordable housing in Logan Square. Various members of the community were interviewed for the film, including some members of Kimball Avenue.

On Saturday, July 26, you are invited to see the documentary at Kimball Avenue Church. We will begin with a potluck meal at 6:30 p.m. followed by a screening of the movie and a time of discussion. This event is open to the public.

See the Human Music Box

The french music and acrobatic troupe, "Compagnie Transe Express" will perform 200 feet above the entrance of Navy Pier on Saturday, July 12. The performance begins at 9:00 p.m. followed by spectacular fire works along the pier.

For more information about this imPACT trip, link to the Family Field Trip page or download an information and registration form HERE. Families will be able to enjoy a meal together in the food court prior to the performance. There is a small fee for the meal voucher. No transportation is provided for this imPACT event.

Our July Tithe
