To Your Health
For the past several
months, Justice Watch has been studying the topic of 'God and
Healing'. Now they are ready to share their insights about the
relationship between justice and health. On Sunday, January 31,
2010, Justice Watch will lead the worship service at 10:00 am
and present a Biblical case for how the church can become a place
where healing occurs and where health is the norm.
Make
Connections
One of Pastor Mike's
first responsibilities will be to update our church directory.
Once again, the directory will be sent electronically to those
with email. Paper copies will be available at the church. This
year, we would like to include your pictures. Submit your digital
image or printed photo to Pastor Mike by January 10. Directories
will be distributed by January 17, 2010.
Habitat
for Humanity
Our 5% giving for the
month of January will be sent to Habitat for Humanity to assist
them with their work to provide quality housing for families.
While not all of us can pick up a hammer let alone drive a nail
in straight, we can all do our part to ensure that all families
have a place to live.
Takin'
Care of Business
A Special Congregational
Meeting will be held following the worship service on Sunday,
January 17, to approve the 2010 church budget. All members and
interested attendees are encouraged to participate.
'Boiler
Fund' Update
We continue to chip away
at our need for funds for a new heating system. As of December
1, we had received over $13,000 and need only $5,000 more! Praise
God! Thank you to everyone who has contributed. Please download
a brochure about our heating situation and encourage your
friends and relatives to assist us.
