Community
& Church Leadership Training
For three Saturdays
starting January 19, members of several Logan Square churches
will gather to develop leadership skills for their church and
community. The training will take place at Our Lady of Grace
church, 2446 N. Ridgeway Ave. starting at 9:30 a.m. each week.
The sessions will last about 3 hours each Saturday.
Kimball Avenue Church would like to send at least three representatives
to the training. If you are interested, see Ellen Ray, our Church-Community
Liaison. There is no fee for the training.
Start
the New Year in the Tropics!
It will be 80 degrees
at CoCo Key on Sunday, January 6. And you can enjoy it just a
few miles from Chicago. Families will be able to enjoy an afternoon
of indoor fun at the CoCo Key water park at the Sheraton Hotel
in Arlington Heights, IL.

Our
January Tithe
We were blessed
by the December visit of Aiyana Ehrman and Jen Brubaker. Together
with a friend from England, they have formed a not-for-profit
organization called, "Who Cares". The organization
connects volunteer personnel and technical support with ministries
and micro-businesses in the developing world. Currently, "Who
Cares" is working with national ministries in Cambodia and
Africa in the name of Jesus. Kimball Avenue cares about this
new organization and has decided that 5% of our January offerings
will be sent to support the work of "Who Cares" We
CAN imagine what can happen when all of us care. ("Who Cares"
is in the process of developing a web site.)
